About Our Tests

How Our QuickBooks®  Bookkeeper Testing Works
Once you purchase the exam, you will receive an email with a user name, password and instructions on how to set up the test for the applicant or test taker. (If you purchase multiple exams, you will receive multiple emails - each containing a different user name and password).

After the test is set-up, you will receive another email with instructions to give the test taker on how to log into the test and take it.

Once the test is complete, you will receive a final email with the test taker's score, an evaluation of their results and a list of the questions they answered incorrectly. We are available to help you interpret the results or answer questions as needed.

Some Things to Keep in Mind
There is nothing to download - the test is hosted, administered and evaluated online.

1. Each test purchased can only be taken once so make sure enough time is allotted to complete the test (usually 1 hour). A clock and visible warnings will be given to the test taker so that they can pace themselves.
   
2. Other companies that offer QuickBooks® testing only give test results as a percentage. We review the results and provide feedback to the employer if the applicant is a beginner, intermediate or advanced user. The evaluation received is a guideline of the minimum skills the test taker has exhibited.
3. Our online exams test applicants on their knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Banking and Accounting (the basic bookkeeper exam does not test for accounting knowledge). We also offer industry specific exams so your applicant is tested for the skills they will need for your business. Contact us for more information.
   
4. We offer discounts for multiple tests. Bulk rates start at ten tests. Contact us.

Skills’ testing is only one tool to use when selecting a qualified candidate for any position.  We also recommend you use traditional hiring techniques such as interviewing and checking references.

Versions:  The Basic and Advanced bookkeeper exams are applicable to QuickBooks Pro 2006 and beyond.  The industry specific exams are applicable to QuickBooks Premier 2006 and beyond.
